Abby-Class of 2013

Absolutely loved this senior session!  Abby is the sweetest girl, beautiful inside and out.  We went a little urban and a little country and had a blast!

Emma is one of our neighbors and one of Grace’s very best friends.  She recently turned six and her mom wanted to incorporate the number six into her photos somehow.   When Emma comes over to our house to play, one of her favorite things to do is to play with balloons that are left over from my photo sessions (they seem to hang around our house forever).  I had the idea to use six balloons in her photos on a recent trip to CNC.  I  thought it  would bring out the real Emma in the photos, which is always my goal when photographing children-that you can see who they are in the photos-not just a cheesy smile.  I think we were successful!

What a beautiful girl!

Six balloons!

One more throw…

Happy 6th Birthday, Miss Emma!

Brother & Sister

I am blessed to have great clients-ones that often refer their friends and family to me.  Today I got to meet the second sister of a client and photograph her adorable kiddos-both cute little blondies just like their cousins.  I have loved getting to know this family and their children so much.

Thanks for driving all this way, Kate!  I hope you like your photos!

Sibling Session

I was visited by the cutest kiddos this morning, as well as a super sweet mom and grandma.  Miss K was so fun and spunky.  She definitely kept me on my toes.  And little brother had the sweetest smiles and the most beautiful blue eyes.

We took a few shots inside my studio, and then went outside, played in the yard and did some photos on my new green couch (which I love).  Thanks Jennifer and Donna for all of your hard work!  Hope you like your photos!

Little Miss M

Being the mom of a three year old girl, I’m a little obsessed with all things girly, especially vintage girly.  A while back, my mom found some of my great grandmother’s old quilts and I have been waiting for the right time to incorporate them into a session.  I thought today was a great day for it.  Little Miss M had a great time reading vintage Winnie and taking photos of me with her little camera.  What a little sweet pea-full of happiness and sweet smiles.  Thanks for coming over today Miss M!

Look Who’s One!

I still cannot believe that little Grayson is one already!  I don’t think he could quite believe it either.

This sweet little guy is always so happy and full of energy, we just love having him and his big brother come and hang out with us.

Happy 1st Birthday, Grayson!

Mr. Smiley

Capturing a newborn smile is a rare treat.  Most babies will smile once or twice in a session if you’re lucky, and it seems it’s always when I’ve just put my camera down or I’m moving baby.  This little guy, however, was full of them.  I have more of his smiles than all the babies I’ve photographed combined.  It puts a smile on my face every time I look at Baby L’s photos.  What do you think he’s dreaming of?

CNC Family Session

I had the best session this morning, complete with the cutest kiddos and an amazing mom and dad.  The rain left town just in time for us to capture some  photos at the nature center, which has quickly become my favorite place for family photos.  Little I quickly forgot about my camera and focused on all of the animals in the homestead farm.

As I drove home after our session, I felt totally blessed by the fact that I love this amazing job that I  get to do, and the fact the I have, hands down,  the BEST clients.

Hope you like the photos, Kristin!  I had a great time hanging out with you guys!

Sweet Baby K

I’ve been loving my newborn sessions lately.  I just finished editing Baby K’s session and just had to post a few more photos.  K’s mom brought some lace from her mother’s wedding dress with her and we used it to wrap up her new baby girl.  Those turned out to be some of my favorite images.  Here’s a peek:

Little Miss L

This sweet little peanut arrived not terribly interested in anything to do with me or photos inside my studio.  So, we ventured outside and ended up with amazing photos of her picking dandelions and playing in the yard.  Proves once again that you’ve gotta go with the flow and make the child happy.  Then, the photos will come.
